Big changes likely in store for Nets (AP)
Yahoo Sports [04/17/2008]
Jason Kidd's gone and the New Jersey Nets missed the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons. Expect president Rod Thorn to shake things up even more in the offseason. Coach Lawrence Frank appears safe after the Nets finished a 34-48 season on Wednesday night with a loss in Boston. There also doesn't seem to be any way that the Nets would deal either Vince Carter (21.3 points) or Devin Harris...

New Jersey Nets' Devin Harris, rear, blocks a shot by Toronto Raptors' T. J. Ford during the third quarter of a basketball game Saturday night, April 5, 2008 in East Rutherford, N.J. The Nets beat the Raptors 99-90.

No matter how much his right ankle hurts, Vince Carter is going to give the New Jersey Nets everything he can as long as they still have playoff hopes. A day after the ankle prevented him from playing against Detroit, Carter returned to the lineup and scored 32 points to lead the Nets to a 99-90 victory over the struggling Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.

Pacers boost playoff hopes, get by Nets (AP)
Yahoo Sports [03/28/2008]

Indiana Pacers forward Troy Murphy, left, tries to block the shot of New Jersey Nets guard Devin Harris in the second half of an NBA basketball game in Indianapolis, Friday, March 28, 2008. The Pacers won 123-115.

Indiana Pacers coach Jim O'Brien has been looking for toughness from his team, and Troy Murphy personified it against the New Jersey Nets. The forward sat out Wednesday with strep throat, but he recovered and had 21 points and 17 rebounds in a 123-115 win over the Nets Friday. The Pacers halted a two-game losing skid to remain in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

New Jersey Nets' Vince Carter, left, and Indiana Pacers' Danny Granger eye a loose ball during the third quarter of an NBA basketball game Wednesday night, March 26, 2008, in East Rutherford, N.J. The Nets beat the Pacers 124-117.

Lawrence Frank enjoys watching the New Jersey Nets run up and down the court and win games with triple-digit scores as much as anyone. Getting to the playoffs is going to take a little defense, and the Nets continue to search for that, even in victory. Devin Harris had 22 points and a career-best 15 assists and the Nets kept pace with Atlanta for the final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference...
