Dear Mr. Röethlisberger,
On behalf of the Swiss Club of Central Indiana, congratulations on your successes. Your family name appears in our families history and hence, we recognized another Swiss heritage emerging into the international scene. One of my Röethlisberger relatives was the recent chief of police in Moutier Suisse, who followed this position held by my near cousin Jean-Daniel Wahli. There are many marriages of the Röethlisberger-Wahli families, as they come from similar areas and backgrounds.
Attached is a document listing Conrad Röethlisberger as part of the Bernese in the bishopric of Basel from which our families have come.
In searching for your fan address, I found a note that you were also born in Lima, Ohio. I see we also share a mutual birthplace.
On Saturday, March 21, 2009, the Swiss Club will be meeting in Mooresville, Indiana. In that our president has mentioned you and your swiss heritage in our latest letter, it would be of interest to receive some memorabilia for the club’s meeting.
